Perhaps you’ve heard the news that the U.S. Olympic men’s basketball team gathered for the first time this week to start preparing for the London Games. This is the temporary arena in which the first rounds of Olympic basketball will be held, as it looked when I visited it last fall. A green-designed structure, it is made mostly of recyclable materials and after the Olympics end it will be dismantled and either recycled or rebuilt elsewhere.
